We'd like to take a moment to celebrate our catering team for achieving another 5 star hygiene rating!
The team work incredibly hard to maintain the highest of standards within our kitchen based at Gateshead Health. The catering department provide meal services to both staff and visitors as well as patient feeding. Not only do the team work tirelessly to ensure everyone is fed on site they also have such a positive and warm attitude.
A 5 star rating is the highest scoring and means that the hygiene standards are very good and fully comply with the law. There are many elements to a hygiene inspection, the representative will look at food handling, storage of food, preparation of food, the cleanliness of the facilities and how food safety is managed.
