Wholesale
QEF Wholesale Pharmacy (QEF WDA) (WDA 46779) are a Pharmaceutical Wholesale distributor dedicated to delivering a bespoke and dedicated service to Trusts and Healthcare providers in the North East of England. We have developed the distribution of medicines to meet the individual requirements of our customers..
Our mission statement is to ‘deliver uncompromising patient care through partnership’ by working with both the NHS and commercial businesses.
Our range covers branded, generic and unlicensed specials used in a number of specialities, including refrigerated lines & CD’s.
Our wholesale site is based at :
Spire house, Spire Road,Glover Industrial Estate,
Washington, NE37 3ES.
Where are we located?
Our WDA licence and GDP certificate are located across 2 sites,
· WDA site at the QE Hospital, Gateshead – distributing to other NHS Trusts
· WDA site at Spire House in Washington – distributing to independent Healthcare providers
The sites allow us to develop and create individual solutions for the customer and deliver care closer to the patient. We are centrally located for daily deliveries across the North East and Cumbria.
Frequently Asked Questions
Delivery
We aim to provide a next working day delivery service (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) for orders received by 3pm. This is subject to UK location and delivery schedule of our QEF Transport service.
Returns
We are obliged under the MHRA Guidelines to maintain the integrity of the medicinal product and handle in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and licencing obligations.
Please refer to our returns policy for customers operating from an unlicensed WDA site;
a) Returns of ambient medicines will be only be accepted without prior notification within FIVE days of receipt (including transport to and from supplier).
b) Controlled Drugs and cold chain medicines will only be accepted for return if we are at fault or in exceptional circumstances with prior agreement. Cold chain medicines must be returned within 24 hours including transport
c) Following the receipt of a valid returns request in accordance with the above requirements, we will confirm to you whether the request is accepted, and shall advise you of the appropriate procedure for return (or alternatively, disposal) of the medicinal products accordingly
