Part Time Health & Safety Advisor

Salary: £37,267 pro rata [£18,633.50]

Hours: 18.75 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Health & Safety Advisor [P/T] to join the Risk Team at QE Facilities Limited.

This post is based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead however you will be required to carry out work at other sites operated by QE Facilities which may involve occasional overnight stay and occasional out of hours working.

As a health and safety advisor- practitioner, you will be responsible for driving a safe working culture preventing/reducing accidents, injuries and health problems in the workplace. Your role will see you promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the Group ensuring that employees and contractors are adhering to current health and safety legislation by creating and implementing health and safety audits, developing and presenting H&S training, reviewing and developing suitable policies, advising on safe working practices and assessments of risk as well as providing professional Health and Safety advise and support.

The work will focus on the delivery of H&S advice for Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust, covering a variety of areas both clinical and none clinical and all relevant workplace legislation applicable to the environment.

You will work closely with other members of the risk team as well as both the estates and facilities teams as well as all levels of healthcare professionals and management. You may also have some contact with patients and external legal and governing bodies e.g. HSE, CQC.

Domestic Services Supervisor - 7:30-14:45

Salary:£16,386 to £19,018 per annum (pro rata part time)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: QE Hospital Gateshead

 

We are looking for a reliable, flexible and well-motivated individual who takes pride in their work, to work as a Domestic Services Supervisor. Main job purpose to develop, supervise and monitor the performance of the domestics department team members. To ensure that premises managed by QE Facilities Ltd are presented in such a manner as to promote high standards of cleanliness, order, and patient/ client well-being.

 

We are committed to the delivery of a high quality patient experience. You must be able to work effectively as part of a team under pressure and have a flexible attitude to your work to meet service needs.

 

Previous cleaning experience or Supervisory experience in a similar environment is preferred, training will be available.
