QE Facilities (QEF) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust (GHNT), based in the North East of England.
We provide a range of non- clinical services to GHNT and other NHS organisations. Our services include: estates, facilities services, procurement, medical engineering and devices, endoscopy decontamination and sterile services, transport, out-patient pharmacy, and prevention & management of violence & aggression training (PMVA).
In addition we provide consultancy services, advising clients on all aspects of establishing a subsidiary company within an NHS body to the provision of VAT compliance advice.
We work closely with Gateshead NHS Foundation Trust. We offer a variety of excellent career opportunities, and we have vast training opportunities to support your personal development.

"Working for QE Facilities has provided me with exciting challenges and opportunities that I never expected. When I first started working for QEF I joined as a domestic and now I am a Senior Homecare Dispenser, who is responsible for overseeing a small team. My people skills were recognised early on and I was put through my Pharmacy Counter Assistant training. Once I had become confident in that role I progressed to a 2 year course to become a dispenser and I have never looked back. My career in pharmacy has went from strength to strength, I’m so happy overseeing the Homecare department. I am so thankful that they saw skills in me that I never saw in myself and knew what role would best suit me and let me thrive within the business.

‘I am an Electrical Apprentice for QE Facilities based at the QE in Gateshead. Im enrolled on 4 year apprenticeship which involves 3 days at college and 2 days hands on work. I am really enjoying my course as every day is different. I get to work with lots of good people and enjoy different hands on work. Having the opportunity to earn whilst I learn is also a bonus’
