QEF are delighted to announce, Mr Mick Lloyd has been shortlisted in the category of the HCSA Procurement leader of the year award for 201MLXLS7, and we can think of no more deserved person.
Mick works tirelessly to improve the way Procurement and MES services are delivered within the NHS not only within QE Facilities limited but with a whole host of NHS organisations the length and breadth of the country through QEF’s consultancy services.
The HCSA promotes the work of procurement and supply chain staff at all levels in healthcare. The Association provides training events and educational seminars, sponsors awards and hosts a high-profile annual conference.
The governance of the Association rests with the board of Trustees. The Executive runs the day to day business of the Association supported by a National Stakeholder Group of Regional Co-ordinators and National representatives from across the U.K.
This award will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated significant leadership qualities that have enabled organisational development; effective service provision; organisation change and demonstrable delivery of performance. The award may also be presented to an individual who has enhanced procurement across boundaries such as regional and national.
This might include one or a number of the following – e.g. someone who:
Provides clear leadership to team; organisation and wider stakeholders
Is believable and leads authentically
Has widespread and acknowledged peer recognition internally and externally for leadership skills
Has demonstrable evidence of leading team / organisational change, development and the provision of a consistent and high quality service
Peers look to for support, advice and guidance
Has demonstrated a high level of knowledge in their area of specialism and drives a progressive service to deliver better outcomes for patient care.
Has developed and established excellent relationships within their own organisation or between their own organisation and others, leading to demonstrable benefits.
