By operating as a separate legal entity – with our own staff, our own commercial capability, and our own governance – we deliver services with the efficiency of a business and the values of the NHS. That combination has defined everything we have done since.
2014
QE Facilities established. Foundation services built within Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust, including Pharmacy – making us one of the longest standing wholly owned NHS pharmacy subsidiaries in the country.
2017
VAT Consultancy launched. Now reclaiming over £5m per year for NHS organisations across the UK, growing at 25% year on year, and helping over 100 organisations nationally.
Today
Nearly 900 people employed, 18 distinct services delivered, working with partner organisations regionally and nationally.
Now, QE Facilities is more than a subsidiary. We are a trusted partner to NHS organisations and public sector bodies across the country – and everything we do, every service we deliver, every pound we generate, goes back into supporting the communities and people we exist to serve.
Looking ahead
We are now in a position where we can help other trusts and organisations manage strategic challenges, find more efficient ways to work, and improve the service they offer to their communities.
