It has been a busy and successful few weeks for the Decontamination Team, with excellent results achieved across two key external audits.
The Endoscopy Decontamination Team recently underwent its annual IHEEM review, which feeds directly into the Endoscopy JAG audit process. The service was awarded Green Status, the highest level of assurance available.
Feedback from the audit praised the team, saying:
“Overall, an excellent result and no significant issues found. Clear evidence of a safe, well managed service. No remedial action required.”
The team also successfully completed its annual SGS surveillance audit. This year, auditors raised no corrective actions, highlighting the team’s ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
These results are a reflection of the team’s dedication to being Professional, Proud, and Passionate in all aspects of their work.
The team will continue its programme of quality improvement with further compliance audits planned, while remaining prepared for SGS’s unannounced inspections, which can take place at any time.
