QE Facilities; shortlisted for prestigious 2017 HSJ Awards.

QE Facilities are delighted to announce that they have been shortlisted in two categories, for the prestigious 2017 HSJ awards namely:

  • Facilities and Estates Management and

  • Improving the Value of NHS Support Services

HSJ celebrates excellence and innovation through its awards.

Being shortlisted offers QE Facilities the opportunity to showcase the great work QE Facilities staff have been undertaking, not just here at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Gateshead Health NHS foundation Trust for the benefit of the local community, but for the benefit of the wider National Health service.

Mr Peter Harding, Managing Director of QE Facilities explained.

“We are delighted to have been shortlisted in the categories of Estates and Facilities and Improving the Value of NHS Support Services. These national awards give QEF the opportunity to shout about the great work that is being undertaken by the QEF team on a daily basis. The awards also give us the opportunity to showcase the innovation and excellence we are delivering at QE Facilities, which will be judged by some of the leading lights in their field.

Whilst QE Facilities are up against some sizable organisations, we believe the Gateshead ‘model’ will revolutionise the way Estates and Facilities services are delivered throughout the NHS. With QE Facilities commitment to service excellence, we are truly improving the value of NHS support services".

The shortlisted organisations will now complete presentations and interviews to the judging panel of senior figures within healthcare.

The winners of the HSJ Value in Healthcare Awards will then be announced at a prestigious ceremony on 24 May 2017 in London.
