QE Facilities; Install Electric Vehicle Charging Outlets At The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

QE Facilities are committed to supporting the Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust in reducing carbon usage.

An energy awareness campaign launched last year has helped everyone working at the hospital understand how their actions influence energy consumption.

The campaign is continually on-going to ensure that old and new employees are reminded of how small behavioural changes can have a massive impact upon Carbon usage and sustainability.

As part of QEF’s commitment to sustainability, three double socket electric (6) vehicle charging outlets have been installed across 3 locations at the Queen Elisabeth Hospital.

Two are located in staff parking areas, one to the car park at the rear of scheme 3 and the other opposite Trust HQ.

The third station is located outside the Peter Smith Surgery Centre and can be used by both staff and members of the public.

There will be a small charge of 20p per Kwh for any electricity used at the station to cover the electricity and hosting costs and we ask that cars release the space once your car is charged up to a maximum of 4 hours.

The charges will be monitored and adjusted accordingly in line with electricity tariffs with current live tariff details available on the charge your car website.

The outlets will be managed by the charge your car network and further details of the scheme can be found at:-
